THE fourth Clevedon Marine Lake Aquathlon is to be held this year on July 10.

THE fourth Clevedon Marine Lake Aquathlon is to be held this year on July 10.

It is a friendly and competitive event for juniors and seniors, both novice and 
experienced competitors, starting at 10.30am. The event distances are 400m swim and a 3km run or for those keener, a swim 800m and 6km run.

The Aquathlon will be held at Clevedon Marine Lake and Promenade. The Marine Lake is a clean lake which is regularly checked. The water temperature should be between 16-20°C.

The run course is mainly flat, around 
Salthouse Field and along the promenade with a turnaround point at the pier. The event is organised under British Tri rules 
and affiliated to Amateur Swimming 
Association and British Long Distance Swimming Association.

The entry fee is: £8 for juniors (12-16 years), £14 for seniors, £14 junior team, £20 team - the combination can be any age (minimum 12 years) or gender. (Bri-Tri & CASC members £2 reduction/£1 for team).

Registration will be open from 8.30am and any entries on the day will be £2 extra. Wetsuits are recommended. There will be prizes for first place in age categories. This event is run jointly by Marlens and CASC.
