DEAN Cope has joined Congresbury Tennis Club as their qualified coach and is keen to increase coaching opportunities for both adults and juniors.

Dean currently runs a successful session for adults between 7-8pm at a cost of £4 each on a play and pay basis. The coaching combines a variety of drills and fun games aiming to improve consistency and quality of shots.

Dean is also restarting the junior programme from March 8th, times and costs are: age 4-5 (Mini Tots) 3.45pm-4.15pm, £2.50 per child; age 6-8 (Mini Red ball) 4.15pm-5pm £3; age 9-11 (Mini Orange/Green ball) 5-6pm £3.50; age 12-16 (Junior Yellow ball) 6-7pm £3.50.

Younger children are encouraged to develop simple tactics and technique, with attention to getting the detail right early on. The coaching for older children aims to develop an all-court game, using more advanced tactics and techniques.

Members and non-members are welcome to pay and play on a weekly basis. All sessions are held at Congresbury Tennis Club, King George V Playing Fields, Stonewell Drive. For further information, contact Dean on 07743 144272 or e-mail him at deancope@hotmail.co.uk
