Narrow win for Clevedon

Clevedon defeat Old Bristolians/Westbury with just two balls to spare.
CLEVEDON won the toss and put Old Bristolians/Westbury into bat after the game was reduced to 33 overs a side because of the rain and were rewarded with tight bowling from Tom Drake who took 2-9 and Ben Chapman 0-22.
After 26 overs, OB’s were 76-4, but Pete Snelling hit 51 before Tim Hancock came on and took 3-43 and Mike Hanley 2-43 as OB’s ended up with 135-8.
Clevedon in reply, lost Graham Trenaman, but John Bachelor scored 49 off 65 balls, Tim Hancock (35), Will Plummer (15) and Nick Carpenter hit a six with two balls left to win the game for Clevedon by four wickets as Nick ended up with 19 not out. Clevedon took 17 points from this game.
On Saturday, Clevedon host Chard at Dial Hill, starting at 1pm.
