Nailsea returned to winning ways with a 146-run victory over Chew Magna at The Grove in the Bristol & District League Senior Division.

Tom Moss (11) fell with the score on 19, but Josh Dann (40) put on 74 with in-form Mike Ready, who finished unbeaten on 82 in a total of 225-7.

Chew were then blown away by opening bowlers Liam Lester and Josh Dann, who combined to dismiss them in just 15.1 overs.

Lester finished with career best figures of 5-34, while Dann (5-37) claimed his second five-wicket haul of the campaign as Chew were skittled for 79.

The 22-point haul allowed Nailsea to maintain their hold on fifth place ahead of a trip to Claverham this weekend.

The seconds are due to host Bristol New Eleven in Division 10 and the club are keen to welcome new and former players back into the ranks, with eight weeks still to play this season.
