Clevedon Cricket Club member Josh Davey is making an impact for Scotland at the Cricket World Cup in Australia.

CLEVEDON Cricket Club member Josh Davey has been in good form in the Cricket World Cup being held in Australia and New Zealand.

Playing for Scotland, Josh played well against New Zealand, finishing on 11 not out and picking up 3-40. In the second game against England, he finished with figures of 4-68 and made nine runs.

Josh made a century on his Clevedon debut last summer and the Dial Hill squad never looked back, crowning a most memorable season under skipper John Bachelor and coach Piers McBride, which climaxed with promotion being won to the West of England Premier League 1, the pinnacle of competitive cricket outside of the county game.

Clevedon are already preparing for the new season which will see them seated at the top table of league cricket.

The new Dial Hill state of the art net facilities have now been completed thanks to the vision of Mike Cahill and the generous contributions made by donors and with wicket magician Nigel Mortimore tending the hallowed square, cricketers of all levels will be assured of top class facilities.
