Failand outplayed by promotion candidates Timsbury.

IN a match shortened to 42 overs due to rain, Failand were outplayed by promotion candidates Timsbury.

Failand lost Simon Bachelor in the first over and were reduced to 26-4 after 15 overs. Henry Humphreys (26) and Basu (34) took the total to 90 after 31 overs.

Tom Isom (32 not out) with help from the tail managed to take the total to 151.

In reply, young Timsbury keeper
Brinkworth (15) set the tone dealing in early boundaries and when Desai pulled a muscle to take him out of the attack, Sage (58) powered on, supported and then
overshadowed by a fine 70 not out from Hare.

George Humphreys bowled well without luck and Ed Humphreys injected late pace, but Timsbury needed only 24 overs to get to the target, keeping their promotion charge on course, with Failand outplayed in both departments.
