The Clock Tower win off the last ball at the Clevedon Cricket Club six-a-side tournament.
CLEVEDON Cricket Club held their annual six-a-side tournament at their Dial Hill ground in glorious sunshine.
In the first round, the top score was set by Stuart Henley who scored 47 off just 15 balls, the top score of the tournament, but the man of the tournament was Mark Richards, better known as Scraggs from the Clock Tower.
In the closest final for many years, the Clock Tower scored 60-1, with Chris Blackall scoring the winning runs off the last ball against Swiss Valley (57-2) to take the trophy.
There was a big family connection at the event, with the Blackalls – Sam and Chris who played for the Clock Tower and Dan Blackall playing for Tickenham United OBs. Mr and Mrs Ian Trudgett played for the hockey club, who were the first husband and wife to play in the sixes and Ben and Dan Hand representing Swiss Valley.
The cricket club would like to thank club members, players, sponsors, CB Trading for the public address system, Paul Jenkins and the committee and Piers McBride for his commentary.
