Cleeve finished 56 runs short in their run chase against Twyford House.

Cleeve lost their latest Bristol & District Division 3 match by 56 runs to Twyford House 2nd XI.

Twyford won the toss electing to bat and soon found themselves 11-3 as Cleeve’s opening bowlers, Mitch Want and Joe Hance tightened the screw.

However, the pitch appeared to ease up as runs were slowly accumulated, yet only one more wicket was taken, with Twyford posting 243-4 at the end of their 45 overs. Want with 3-43 and Hance with 1-43, both from nine overs the wicket-takers.

In reply, the openers went early with 15-year-old Ben Jones batting at three topping the Cleeve scores with 37, with bowlers Want and Hance scoring 37 and 30 respectively, leaving Cleeve short by 56 runs, all out for 187 in just 34 overs.
