Cleeve got the better of Bohemians in their second annual past players day at the weekend.

Glenn Lewin chose to bat first but was caught for a quickfire 14, before Tom Birt was trapped lbw for 21.

Nikhil Bhajipale (25) steadied the ship, before Joe Hance was promoted up the order and smashed a rapid 45.

In-form James Cole fell for 65, his fifth half-century of the season, as Phil Gostlin and Carey Elswood departed in quick succession.

Mark Jones (21 not out) and Tom Carpenter saw Cleeve close on 215-7 from their 45 overs and Hance took two early wickets to reduce Bohemians to 23-2.

They fought back well to leave the game in the balance before Jones was given his first bowl of the season and repaid the faith shown in him.

Jones took 5-35 from his nine overs as Bohemians were dismissed for 195 and Cleeve claimed 19 points ahead of a trip to Bitton.
