Coarse fishing season opens

Clevedon Freshwater Angling Club members have enjoyed the start of the new coarse fishing season.

THE coarse fishing season started on the June 16 and Clevedon Freshwater Angling Club control the fishing on the River Kenn, which runs through Clevedon.

From July 1, the club will also be the leaseholders for the Paddock Lake at Acorn Fishery near Kingston Seymour, in addition access is available to a number of North Somerset Angling Association waters.

Club secretary Barry Fowler fished the River Kenn for five hours and caught some magnificent bream along with a number of roach, perch and eels.

Access to the River Kenn is good and the banks are safe, local tackle dealers can provide full licences or day tickets. More information on Clevedon Freshwater Angling Club can be found at
