Clevedon swimmers selected for British and English Summer Championships

A number of Clevedon swimmers are heading to the British and English Championships this summer.
Jamie Steadman will be involved in the British Championships this month.
The 14-year-old will head to Ponds Forge International Sports Centre in Sheffield for the July 22-28 event to compete in the 1500m freestyle, 200m and 400m individual medley and 200m breaststroke.
And Five Clevedon swimmers will head back to Sheffield next month to compete at the Swim England English National Championships.
Sam Ledward, 15, and Riley Price, 14, will both compete in the 50m, 100m and 200m breaststroke events.
And Steadman will also compete in the 400m and 800m freestyle, while 19-year-old Ben Penhale and 14-year-old Evie Linden will compete in the 200m butterfly.
Head coach Pat Leaman said: “Both of these national events are invite only, meaning that only the top 24 swimmers in each age group event are invited to attend.
