Clevedon swimmers made a splash while hosting the second round of the Cotswold Series.
After some fantastic displays in the first round, where Clevedon fought off hosts Wells, Cinderford and Norton Radstock for victory, they claimed another victory after a tense finale.
Drawn against City of Bristol, Dursley and Bristol Penguins this time, Clevedon saw 23 swimmers set personal bests with their younger swimmers to the fore.
Eloise Cash took five seconds off her previous best in the 25m freestyle, with Jaydn Jones, Josie Ballam, Frankie Spears, Rio Fitton, Amelie Dorrington, Kieran Cooke, Eloise Mark and Ben Godfrey also smashing old marks.
Chloe Price clocked 35.16 in the under-13 50m freestyle, while a number of members swam up into older age groups.
Jamie Steadman, 11, competed in the 15-year-old category, as 12-year-olds Imogen Bamber (breaststroke), Giselle Fitton (butterfly) and Caden Best (freestyle) set personal bests in the same age group.
Ryan Baldwin, 14, took four seconds off his 100m breaststroke best in the open category as Clevedon took a one-point lead over City of Bristol into the final race of the night.
And in a thrilling climax at Hutton Moor, Clevedon’s cannon squad came home in first place to ensure overall cucess.
