CLEVEDON Swimming Club travelled to Easton for the final of the current Mini Series with a team that was so short of swimmers that to maintain their second place was going to be a real challenge.

Little did they know that the small team who travelled to Easton, would swim out of their skins and manage to finish only one point behind first placed Soundwell, securing their place as second in the series overall.

Star swimmers on the night were George Leaman, who swam many races, all of them brilliantly, Robert Jones who won both of his individual races and set two new personal best times, and Laura Hearn who swam really well and set a great example to the younger swimmers.

Individual race winners were: Annabelle Birkett, Amelia Chappell (2), Ellie Chappell, Laura Hearn (2), Simeon Howlett (2), Gabriel Jones, Robert Jones (2) and Finlay Smith.

New personal best times were set by Amelia Chappell, Elena Crossan, Megan Finnie (2), Callum Greenwood, Joel Holdaway, Zack Holdaway, Simeon Howlett (3), Gabriel Jones, Robert Jones (2), George Leaman (2), Finlay Smith, Emma Sudol and George Symonds (2).
