Clevedon Freshwater Angling Club fished a match against Fry’s AC on the Horseshoe Lake at the Plantations Fishery Kingston Seymour.

After heavy cold rain a few days before the match and overnight frosts, it was always going to prove a challenge.

The lake is not match fished much and bright sunshine on the day made the outcome evern more uncertain.

One half of the lake did fish better than the other and anglers with plenty of room began to put together some fish.

Pete Sivell of Fry’s AC caught some quality card on the pellet feeder for 37lbs 12oz for the individual winning weight.

And clubmate Ade Crawley was second with a mixed bag of roach, bream and carp for 17lb 10z.

Mark Bromsgrove of Clevedon had a net of mainly roach caught on the whip for a level 17lb haul as Fry’s AC won by a significant margin.
