Clevedon Royals Under-12s lost just one game on their way to winning the SCI Sports open regional tournament held in Minehead.

Clevedon Royals Under-12s enjoyed the SCI Sports open regional tournament held in Minehead.

They played 14 games over two days and only lost one.

They played the final against Ystrad, a strong Welsh side fielding more than five teams at the event with a huge crowd of supporters at Royals’ shooting end in the first-half.

After full-time in the final it was all square and it went to extra time. The girls took a deep breath and played some great netball to take the title 3-0 in extra time, with a well-deserved hard-fought win.

The Royals are also undefeated Avon League champions this season.

Coach Lynne Giles said she could not have be prouder of them and the way they conducted themselves as very sporting players with a great team spirit. It has been a fantastic season.
