Clevedon A continued their perfect start to the Wrington Vale Snooker League with victory over Rovers.

In the Congresbury versus Frames A clash in the Wrington Vale Snooker League, Ashley Brooks did well against Jeff Jones, keeping in touch until the latter stages when he conceded needing two snookers on the pink.

Despite knocking in a 23 break, Roy Jenkins found Paul Quick in decent form, although not scoring heavily, as Paul cruised home by 26. The third frame was much tighter, with Roy eventually getting the better of Paul on the pink.

Jason Marsh and Irving Prowse played a close fourth frame, which ultimately went the way of Marsh after slotting home the final pink and black. Ashley Brooks then played Jason scoring consistently although not heavily, and cruised to a 22-point win to snatch an unexpected win.

The final frame was easily won by Jeff Jones against Irving Prowse, with Jeff in excellent form in recording a 39 break.

Frames Pandas continued their strong start to the season with a 4-2 win against struggling Peelers.

Dan Foster and George Rowe played two close frames to start, the first won by Foster on the black, but Rowe got revenge in the second, also winning on the black. Alex Arlotte recorded two2 decent wins on the night, while Tom Peasland and Rich Powell drew their two frames.

Clevedon maintained their 100 per cent record with a fourth straight win against Rovers. Mark Walsh continued his excellent personal start to the season with two more victories, this time against Chris Bond and Julian Bond, both in closely fought frames.

The Backwell derby went the way of the A team, winning 4-2. Derek Ellis continued his good start to the season with two victories over Les Wharram.

However, the B team were undone by father and son combination, Alan and Jake Pearce, who both played well in defeating Bill Ridge and Paul Davies.
