Clevedon gymnasts achieved outstanding results in the Baskervilles Rising Stars competition in Bath recently.

Some of the gymnasts competed for the first time ever in a competition outside of the club, while others competed for the first time in three years.

Their level in the competition was determined by the number of hours they train each week - level one for under three hours, level two for under six hours and level three for over six hours.

Nine-year-old Skyla participatid in her first gymnastics competition and placed third on the vault and second in the trampette to finish fifth overall.

Under-11 trio Weronika, Chloe, and Michaela finished seventh, 10th and 10th, in the fourth trampette, respectively, in their first competition outside of their club, as Jess placed second in trampette in the under-13 division and seventh overall.

Aoife, who is in level two, won the floor and trampette events to take first place overall in the over-13 division.

Kayla, who is in level three, came second in the vault and trampette events and was first on floor, finishing in second place overall, also in the over-13 division.

The non-profit community interest company Clevedon Gymnastics Centre is situated at the Hither Green trading estate and offers classes for all ages and ability from walking to adult.
