Clevedon AC members impressed on recent marathon outings.

Eloise Baker clocked 3:32.02 at the Grest Welsh event, beating her best by 17.13, and said: “I wouldn't have been able to get this result without all of the support and training provided by the club.”

Nigel Charman went Stateside as one of 590 British runners in a field of 30,000 to tackle the Boston Marathon, finishing in 3:44.48 to tick another event of his list.

Charman joined fellow members for the penultimate Weston Prom Run of 2018/19, with Luke Murray fourth overall in 27.11 and first M40.

Steve Wood (29.01), Ben Burns (29.54), Gary Lewis (30.24) and Tom Abrahams (31.06) were next to finish, as Francesca Rawlings (32.05) led Clevedon's women home, ahead of Laura Meech (33.24).

Laura Croker (35.29) was first F40 and Helen Ball (36.00) first F50.
