Clevedon Ladies produced some quick hockey forcing the home team to defend for long periods, but for the second time in as many weeks they came up against a goalkeeper in fine form.

Hanham, an experienced side, know how to disrupt attacks but Caitlin Meredith and Anna Barzotelli kept searching for openings. Harriet Watts and Laura Gillespie defended well and Ashlee Carter along with Amy Dewfall were quick to exploit attacking opportunities.

Clevedon eventually found a way through when Ella Davey latched on to a pass from Meredith to score allowing the visitors to take a 1-0 lead into the break.

After the interval it was much the same, although there was added determination from Hanham, but Clevedon held on to their lead.

Good interplay between Carter and Barzotelli saw Clevedon go close to adding further goals. With the visitors looking comfortable, victory was snatched from them when from a short corner in the dying seconds, Hanham grabbed an equaliser to break Clevedon hearts.

Clevedon now go into the mid season break, league matches resume in January with Clevedon sharing second spot and handily placed to push on.
