Tony Bradley won Clevedon Golf Club's Senior (over-55) Championship after a four-hole play-off last week.
Over 70 entrants battled it out for the gross and nett trophies, with Bradley and former club captain Steve Buckland carding rounds of 79.
That led to the play-off, with Bradley come out on top to claim the Sutton Claret Jug by one shot.
Early starter Les Holmes, the clubhouse leader for most of the day, won the nett competition with 70 to claim the Paul Middleton Silver Salver.
And it was fitting that Bradley and Holmes emerged triumphant, with both having moved to Clevedon from Newcastle many years ago to take up new job opportunities and become close friends and regular golfing partners.
Clevedon's seniors claimed a well-earned win over Mendip Spring in their annual home match to avenge an earlier defeat.
After claiming a 5-2 victory, captain Chris Attwood said: "We had a good team out with some good pairings.
"Notable performances from Dave Merrison, Gary Kennedy and Dave Capon helped us get revenge for our earlier defeat and retain home bragging rights!"
Clevedon have an impressive home record this season, with only one defeat in 10 matches.
Attwood added: "Visitors always find it tough coming to Clevedon and our home record speaks for itself, although our away form has been a bit mixed.
"We have had over 50 players represent Clevedon this season, many of whom are new members to the club, so I have been very pleased with the support."
