Clevedon begin the defence of their West of England League Premier One title with a trip to Bath on Saturday.
And the reigning champions go into their opening fixture on the back of a six-wicket friendly defeat at Bristol last weekend.
Put into bat, they reached 60-1 as Tyler Leaman (23) and Josh Breed combined after the early loss of Louie Woodland.
Ryan Thorpe fell cheaply but Cameron Harding made 28 before Breed departed one short of a half-century.
Iraq Thomas hit 39 off 25 balls, with Scott Ford (28) and Jack Davey (21) also chipping in with the bat as Clevedon were dismissed for 214.
And Jake Brand (2-30) struck early blows with the ball to reduce Bristol to 5-2, with David Clarke producing a run out to end a 57-run stand for the third wicket.
Nic Halstead Cleak went on to score 124 off 102 balls, though, and shared 123 for the fourth wicket with Archie Fellows before being trapped lbw by Thomas as the hosts reached their target in the 39th over.
