CLEVEDON Tennis Club entertained local rivals Nailsea and merged 10-2 winners in a match that was closer than the scoreline suggests.

Clevedon ladies won against their
counterparts and the men followed suit in a close three set match, serial winners Josie Vickers and James Bassett then won easily in the mixed 6-2, 6-0 to remain unbeaten for the season and this is a great example of mixing youth with experience.

In the final mixed, husband and wife team of Kat Rolfe and Mike Dale had a topsy turvey match against Matt Rogers and Lucy Emery and managed to come from behind in a tight three set match.

Clevedon’s destiny now lies in their hands as they sit top of the North Somerset League with two games to go, with Woodlands sitting just two points behind it promises to be a tense final two fixtures.
