The staged event includes road, trail and cross-country running, covering a 6k time trial, an 11k mountain trail run, a multi-terrain half marathon and 10k city run.

And Clevedon quartet Nicole Smith, Simon Smith, Donna Davies and Chris Davies all successfully completed the challenge.

Conditions were also favourable at the Gloucester 10k, as mild weather and a predominantly flat course helped Ben Burns (35.15) and Francesca Rawlings (38.34) record personal bests.

Sally Richards (47.52) was also in action for Clevedon, with entries now open for their historic Boxing Day run.

A 3k junior race at 10.15am is open to six to 14 year olds and the main four-mile race at 11am is for those aged 15 and over.
