Mark Poppleton had the best individual weight at Clevedon Freshwater Angling Club's last match of 2018

Clevedon Freshwater Angling Club held their last match of 2018 on Paddock Lake at Acorn Fisheries in Kingston Seymour.

The blind pairs event saw anglers matched in a draw and their combined weight counting for an overall score.

Visiting angler Mark Poppleton had the best individual weight of the day of 84lb 4oz on peg five, which had been showing good form, as partner Lance Tucker had 24lb 4oz in a poor area to ensure their victory.

Regular framer Mark Bromsgrove had 64lb 4oz on peg six and paired up with Lewis Walker, who had 3lb from the other end of the lake.

Third place went to Rich Lovering and Paul Nichols, who had 57lb 6oz.
