Archant

Clevedon AC’s Jo Gallagher braved the cold at Goodwood to take part in the Chichester 10k.

The race is run on public roads for the first 6k before competitors are directed onto the historic Goodwood Motor Circuit.

And after completing a lap of the track, Gallagher crossed the finish line in 40 minutes 19 seconds to finish sixth in her age group after a recent injury.

Clare Holdaway and Kerry Coombes travelled to Bute Park in the centre of Cardiff for the Winter Warmer 10k.

Extra layers and care were needed due to icy conditions but the pair enjoyed a good return to racing on the two-lap course around the park despite the low temperatures to raise money in support of homeless charity Shelter.

Anyone interested in joining Clevedon AC can come along to training sessions on Tuesday and Thursdays, leaving from Strode Leisure Centre at 7pm. See clevedonac.co.uk.
