Clevedon AC members took part in several local events during a busy weekend.

The Cleeve 5k Festival of Running incorporated the Southwest and Avon 5k Relays Championships and Clevedon won three medals.

The senior men's squad of Alex Crossland (15.47), Sam Tabberner (16.21), Luke Murray (16.37) and Robbie Stewart (17.19) won bronze in both the Southwest and Avon events, while the vet 40 team of Steve Wood (17.47), Matt Crocker (18.33), Nick Hides (18.56) and Clive Richards (20.33) won silver in the Southwest category.

Also in action were Lee Southernwood (17.55), Gary Lewis (18.05), Ben Burns (18.33), Stuart Heath (19.28), Laura Croker (21.39), Sally Richards (23.31), Helen Wood (23.36), Eloise Hallow (24.34), Vicki Leckie (25.42) and Eleanor Murray (25.54).

Helen Ball ran the 401 Foundation 10k at Portishead and clocked 48.34, following her 100k ultra last month, and Joanne Gallagher was third overall and first female in the half marathon.

Francesca Rawlings was second woman and first V40 at the Severn Bridge half marathon in 1:27.44, while Katherine Mortimore posted 58.36 in the 10k event.

Clevedon train on Tuesday and Thursday, leaving from Strode Leisure Centre at 7pm. See for more.
