ROVERS march on at the top of the Wrington Vale Snooker League after defeating their closest challengers Frames by 5-1.

ROVERS march on at the top of the Wrington Vale Snooker League after defeating their closest challengers Frames by 5-1.

Triangles consolidated their hold on third place with a 4-2 win over Peelers. The Conservative Club derby ended with an honorable 3-3 draw with all three players on each side winning and losing a frame. Highpoint of the week though was Backwell Lucky 13’s 4-2 win over the Young Ones which was their first victory of the season.

Roy Jenkins went through to the final of the individual handicap with a 3-1 win over Bob Selby. Roy knocked in a 38 break in the opening frame to secure it by 83-47, but Bob fought 
back from behind to take the second on the black. More consistent play from Roy gave him the third 76-42 and another 38 break in the fourth secured victory.
