Busy night on the prom for Clevedon runners

Clevedon Athletic Club members enjoyed a busy night at the Weston prom run.
It was another busy night at the Weston Prom Run for the 30-plus Clevedon Athletic Club members who took part in the monthly five-mile race.
Four athletes ran inside 30 minutes, including Luke Murray who finished in third place overall and a great prom debut performance for Ryan Kestle, who finished in ninth place. Congratulations to Katie Watts for another PB run, proving that consistent effort at training pays off.

The fourth and final race in the Gloucester Cross Country League was held in mild conditions at Pitville Park in Cheltenham.
The ladies raced first over two laps of the undulating course complete with a tricky stream crossing. Laura Meech was first home for Clevedon in a time of 27.32 and finished in 14th place overall. Next was Marie Lochrie 35.02, Alison Roberts 35.28 and Nicole Skippins 35.48.
The men then raced three laps of the course. Luke Murray finished in fourth place overall in a time of 34.01, followed by Ben Burns 38.16, Steve Wood 38.52, Alex Murray 39.31, Matthew Crocker 39.56, Martin Hewlett 41.49, Simon Smith 42.07, Chris Davies 42.17, Jason Moss 43.32, Tom Abrahams 43.56, Mike Andrews 47.38, Malcolm Roberts 54.22.
Following the race, the prizes were announced with the following placings for Clevedon: Luke Murray, third overall and second MV40, Clive Richards, third MV55 and third place to the men’s masters team.
