Brian Harvey too strong for the opposition.

SOCIAL Climbers’ Brian Harvey failed to reach the heights of last week’s century break in this week’s Flotsam Summer Billiards League, but had far too much experience for Fuzz Box’s Dennis Mansfield.

He was a little more stretched against Bob Selby in the second game, but a break of 55 was the significant run in a 47 point win. Fuzz Box’s point came courtesy of Bob’s 67 point win over Ian Green in the final game.

Once Well Back’s Martyn Howell had cleared off his handicap, Short Frames’ skipper Mike Tozer matched him virtually point for point with just Martyn’s 22 break making the difference in the end. Jack Clargo struggled with the run against Pete Woods and, his greater experience told although Jack was playing some nice strokes in his game.

In the last game, Dan Clargo enjoyed a little running against Martyn, but again struggled with the run of the ball. It is visibly evident that Brian Harvey has been showing the Short Frames’ players how best to play the standard shots which is showing in their improving performances

Breaks: B Harvey 55, 36, 32, 39, 39, 23, 23, 22, 22, 21, 20; B Selby 25; R Jenkins 24, 22; M Howell 22; W Martin 22; M White 20.
