Portishead RBL ladies played against England senior ladies at Leamington as a reward for winning the Top Club event last year.

PORTISHEAD RBL Ladies were invited by Bowls England to send one rink to represent them in a select team to play against England international senior ladies recently at Leamington.

They were asked as TLH Top Club winners 2010. The rink was (left to right) Marilyn Gozna, Rose Hellens, Sue Davies and Di Gwynn. The England rink was Carole McClean, Lynne Bowen, Wendy King and Amy Gowshall.

It was a closely fought match ending 22-19 to England. The Poppies said it was a wonderful experience and very enjoyable.
