A ladies triples team from Clevedon Bowling Club is one win away from the national finals.

In national competitions, Clevedon Bowling Club still retain an interest in both the ladies’ pairs and triples competitions.

Laura Holden partnered by Stef Branfield in the pairs and the same two players plus Stef’s mother Jacqui in the triples are only one win away from entry into the finals to be held at Melton Mowbray at the end of March.

In the county competitions, both the ladies’ and men’s double rinks continue to make progress with the men having reached the semi-final, while the ladies still have one more round to win to reach the same stage.

West Backwell, Nailsea, Congresbury, Portishead and Portishead RBL bowling clubs have just taken part in an indoor/outdoor league.

West Backwell won with 20 points, followed by RBL (18) and Portishead (17).
