Clevedon Bowling Club took to the green for the first time this season as the sun shone on Saturday.

And eight of their new members from last season were able to join in with the friendly, but competitive games of bowls.

Clevedon Bowling Club will be holding an open day on Sunday April 28 and anyone who has been thinking of taking up the sport, or any experienced bowlers who might have moved to the area recently, are welcome between 10am and 4pm.

Bowls equipment will be provided on the day, but those attending are asked to bring a pair of flat shoes.

Results: N Mace, T Nicholson, D Brightman beat A Mace, C Packer, M Foster 28-8; R Packer, C Bethune, R Conybeare beat J Clark, M Cole, G Woods 22-10; S Lewis, G Townsend, S Meyrick beat S Fallows, C Neal, J Brommage 24-12; T Townsend, C Baines, P Brandon, G Tripp beat R Lord, S Clark, B Whittaker, J Hellier 26-12.
