Clevedon Bowls Club presented a cheque to Junior Diabetes Research Foundation at their annual dinner.

AT Clevedon Bowling Club’s annual dinner, Donna Weeks (left), on behalf of the Junior Diabetes Research Foundation, was delighted to receive a cheque for £2,580.21 from president Dennis Priddle and club captains, Sue Bird (right) and Pip Branfield.

The two captains had chosen the foundation as their charity for 2012 after they had learned about the problems caused by diabetes type one for an increasing number of young children.

Donna’s 10-year-old son, the grandson of a club member, had been diagnosed with the disease when he was six-years-old.
