TENNIS players in Clevedon have been given a boost after four courts in the town were resurfaced.

The facilities at Clevedon Lawn Tennis Club were reopened on New Year’s Day after undergoing a face-lift.

The work was made possible thanks to funding from the Lawn Tennis Association, which contributed a £21,500 loan, with support from Sport England, toward the total £51,000 cost. The club made up the remaining amount.

The Princes Road club has already invested in floodlighting and clubhouse improvements in past years and it is hoped this latest development will really benefit its 300 members.
