Nailsea and District Croquet Club (NDCC) crowned Peter Longden the winner of the annual OBE Tournament.
The event, open to players aged 79 and above, featured 12 participants from various clubs from the South West.
Many attendees sported 1930s attire, adding a special atmosphere to the tournament.
The players competed fiercely in a unique 10-turn format of association croquet.
Mr Longden emerged victorious, securing the Terry Young trophy, which was presented to him by NDCC president Kathy Wallace.
A spokesperson for NDCC said: "Kathy reminded everyone that the OBE was instigated by Terry Young many years ago, but Terry sadly passed away in December 2024.
"He will be very much missed at the club, and the OBE will continue annually in his memory."
