Clevedon Town were not at the races as a below-par performance saw them settle for a draw against visitors Oldland Abbotonians.
The match on Saturday ended in a 1-1 draw, with both sides creating numerous chances that went begging.
Missing Joe Teall, who failed a late fitness test, and the unavailable Glen Hayer, Clevedon created an early chance when Freddie King beat the wall with a free kick, but Oldland keeper Jordan Schofield managed to hold on to the ball at the second attempt to deny Town.
Oldland Abbotonians, fresh from a 4-0 midweek win, pressed forward and Clevedon's Callum Kingdon twice had to head away crosses.
Goalkeeper James Dunn also made diving saves from Tom Blake and Brandon Oputeri.
Clevedon stepped up their game and on 17 minutes, Alex Camm picked out Freddie King on the edge of the box, but his shot went straight to Schofield.
From Schofield’s clearance, Blake bobbled a shot wide, and it was Clevedon who gained the advantage on 19 minutes when Alex Camm’s defence-splitting pass sent Freddie King clear down the middle to plant the ball past Schofield for his fifth goal in five games.
Oldland retaliated immediately when the lively Oputeri was played through again and Dunn pushed his shot away and Cash Vinall headed a cross onto the top of the net.
Just after the half-hour, Town’s former Oldland player Harrison Kyte tried an audacious chip over Schofield from halfway, but missed the target.
Dunn again pushed away an Oputeri shot at the expense of a corner which came to nothing.
Clevedon finished the half well when Bridgman broke clear and cut into the box to shoot and Schofield saved.
Clevedon appeals for a penalty when Syd Camper went to ground in the box were quickly waved away as was a similar shout at the other end when Oputeri went down, so half-time arrived with Clevedon hanging on to their narrow 1-0 lead.
The second half saw more of the same, but Clevedon went close on 53 minutes when Cam Steer’s free kick from the right edge of the box was headed off the line and cleared by Vinall.
Oldland equalised on 66 minutes when Oputeri played in Blake down the right to cut into the box and shoot across Dunn to find the far corner of the net and make it 1-1.
Manager Alex White said: "It was a fair result, and we missed too many chances which was down to their good defending and us taking too many touches."
On Saturday, the Seasiders visit Barnstaple Town, kick-off 3pm.
