Cleeve Cricket Club's 1st team just fell short as they lost away to 2nd placed Pak Bristolians by 9 wickets.
Despite winning the toss and choosing to bat first, Cleeve stumbled, falling victim to the visitors' bowling.
Mitch Want and Sam Williams opened the batting, posting 55 before Want was bowled for 27 by first change bowler Sami.
Sami, riding his lucky streak, secured another wicket by James Ball who was adjudged LBW without scoring.
Andy Barnsley, Tom Birt and Alfie Parsons quickly departed, bowled for 13, 2 and 7 respectively while Sam Williams topped the chart with 33 before being given LBW.
The team was dismissed for 160 midway through the 45th over.
As Cleeve took to the field, their responses fell short.
Despite maintaining his usual control, Andy Barnsley managed just 15 runs in his opening four overs.
Tom Baughan was the most economical bowler with 9 overs for just 28.
Skipper Sam Williams bagged the only wicket, ending his stint with 6 overs 1 for 31 and removing Ahmed Tabraiz for 30 in the 24th over.
Pak Bristolians easily passed the target by the end of the 35th over, securing their win by 9 wickets.
This defeat sends Cleeve sliding down to the 6th spot, just 8 points behind Downend.
Both sides have managed seven wins this season.
Looking forward, Cleeve aims to strike back in next week’s penultimate league game at home to Whitchurch.
