Clevedon Promenade Bowling Club continued their strong start to their club and league season with their team’s winning six of the eight games on offer.

In the Somerset County League Premier 1 Promenade’s A team first took on Willmott Park and won a close game 56-50.

Fuidge, Alvis, Powell, and Crees 23-12 top scored for their team.

In their second league game of the week Promenade A took on a strong Bath A team and recorded a rare loss. 70

The teams of Roberts, Fuidge, May and Bartlett, and Baker, Warren, Bissett, and Crees both contributed 18 points to the team’s 50-70 loss.

In the Northern 1 division Promenade’s B team recorded two wins from two.

First, they beat Isle of Wedmore 77-39 before battling out a tight 63-60 win over Chew Stoke.

Baker, Perham, Higley, and Young top scored against Wedmore with a 38-11 win whilst Dowsing, Gover, Kinsella, and Alvis scored 23 against Chew Stoke.

Promenade’s C team had a big 52-72 loss against a good Clevedon team.

K Ellis, P Tingle, M Cordwell, and P Pearcewere the closest to winning their ends at 24-25.

In the Clevedon and District Over 55s Triples league Promenade triumphed over Nailsea 125-86.

The rink of Partridge, Evans, and Jarrett had a massive 29-7 win in their game.

In the Clevedon and District Evening League Promenade beat Long Ashton 119- 58.

The teams of Roberts, Higley, Warren, and Young, and Tinkling, Anslow, Smith, Fuidge both scored 29.

Promenade got another massive win in Weston's Over 55s Triples League, this time triumphing 150-86.

Hucker, Higley, and Pearce had a huge game scoring 52 and only conceding four points.
