Western League Division One: Portishead Town 1-1 Shirehampton

Portishead Town drew at home on Easter Monday against Shirehampton in the Toolstation Western League Division One.

The match ended 1-1 with both sides creating chances to score more but the two keepers were in top form.

The visitors went a goal up in the first half but in the second period a penalty strike from Kyle Egan got Portishead back on level terms.

The result leaves Portishead in third place in Division One of the Western League and in touching distance of an automatic promotion place.

A spokesperson from the club said: "It was an improved showing from Town in the second half and the Shire keeper was in good form but the equaliser finally came from the penalty spot, Kyle Egan converting."
