Division One South West: Swindon Town 8-1 Portishead Town
Portishead Town Ladies were on the receiving end of a heavy defeat at the weekend away from home at Swindon Town Women.
The match in the FA Women's National League Division One South West ended 8-1 as Swindon were too good for Portishead Town.
It was an own goal from Portishead who opened the scoring for Swindon and minutes later, a second own goal doubled Town's lead.
A third goal came before half-time from Meg Jarvis which extended Swindon’s lead before the break.
In the second half the hosts scored five more, Jarvis got her second after the break, followed by a brace from Annie Colston in the second half with late goals from Helena Diaz-Butcher and substitute Georgia Vandries completing Town’s rout on Sunday afternoon.
Portishead Town Ladies found a goal back in the 88th minute from the penalty spot and McGrogan could not get her hands quick enough to it.
Up next for Portishead is a match in the Somerset FA Women's Senior Cup away from home against local rivals Keynsham Town.
That match will take place on Sunday, March 3 at 2pm.
