Counties 1 Tribute Western North: Clevedon 22-34 Old Bristolians

Clevedon Rugby Club put in an improved performance at the weekend but ultimately were beaten at home by Old Bristolians.

The match in the Counties One Tribute Western North ended 22-34 in favour of the visitors.

It was a close battle, and as mentioned, Clevedon looked a better side from their last outing, but the defeat means they are without a win for three games now,

Clevedon opened the scoring in the match in the third minute when Will Trollope crossed over for a try.

However it was cancelled out shortly after as Old Bristolians ran in a try themselves.

James Harris converted a penalty in the 27th minute but a try for the visitors just before half time gave them the upper hand at the break.

In the second period Old Bristolians were able to cross over for four more tries while Clevedon managed two of their own through Ethan Thomas and Lewis O'Brien.

Up next for Clevedon RFC is an away trip to Barton Hill on Saturday, February 3.
