Clevedon Rugby Club player George Angel has updated supporters following his ankle injury last weekend that forced him off.
In the match against rivals Nailsea & Backwell RFC, Angel went down injured in what was a rather nasty incident.
He has since said: "First of all I just wanted to say thanks so much for all the thoughtful messages over the last few days, it’s really appreciated.
"Second of all, a massive apology to all those who had to see my ankle on Saturday, but you will be glad to hear it’s just an operation away from being on the way to a speedy recovery.
"Finally, thank you very much to everyone who supported me on pitch and I’d like to give a massive shout out to the Nailsea physios and Chloe for being so reactive and professional.
"I will hopefully be in the blue and gold soon and will try and keep you updated until then."
Hopefully this means Angel is on the sidelines for less time than initially feared and back representing Clevedon as soon as possible.
