With the honours even at one apiece having already played Hornets away twice, Yatwell U16s were looking to make the most of their home advantage as they welcomed their visitors and put on one of their most dominant displays of the season so far.

The match ended 70 points to 17 as tries were coming one after another for the hosts and three players scored hattricks.

Phil Clarke, Ned Hill and Mo Sayce all bagged three tries whilst Jack Carter, Matt Lane and Kieran Thomas all scored one. Charlie Hayett nailed five conversions.

From the start Yatwell set their stall out early with really quick ruck ball that was then either popped to a runner charging through or passed out to their backs who made significant ground.

This was Yatwell’s best team performance of the season.  The commitment at the breakdown secured some terrifically quick ball that gave them a huge amount of momentum and the communication, handling and support by the whole team throughout the game was outstanding.

All of the tries involved any number of players in their build up and execution and it was fantastic to watch.

Fullback Tyler Meekhums along with wingers Joe Coman and Alessandro Cuilli continue to play better and better every week with Cuilli putting in his best tackle of the season and second rows Isaac Dahmani and Ivor Malone tackled and carried their hearts out
