Somerset Division One: Burnham United 1-3 Nailsea & Tickenham Res
BURNHAM United AFC ended 2023 with a defeat at home against Nailsea & Tickenham Reserves.
The match ended 1-3 in favour of the visitors as they were in control for large parts of the 90 minutes.
The result sees Burnham drop to fifth place in the league and three points adrift from the top four.
In the match, Nailsea's goals came through Dan Cook, Brandon Hurst and Andrew Head.
For Burnham, Curtis Bradshaw scored the sole goal in what was a tricky match for the hosts.
Burnham did enjoy spells of possession and created chances but were unable to deal with the Nailsea attacks.
It continued Burnham's recent run of one win, one loss as whilst they play well most weeks, they struggle to find form.
A club spokesperson said: "Unfortunately the first team couldn't pick up a point at home this weekend.
"Time to look forward to the second half of the season and start putting some points on the board."
