Nailsea & Tickenham will be visited by Toolstation Western League Podcast presenter, Ian Nockolds his afternoon (Saturday) to raise money for Mind in Somerset for their game with Iftacombe Town.

The Toolstation Western League have been visiting clubs in and around Somerset with Mind in Somerset to raise the profile of Mental Wellbeing.

Focussing on the players, Mind in Somerset have produced special posters to be displayed in the changing rooms, advertising support services relevant to young men.

Western League Clubs have shown their support for this initiative by displaying adverts for Mind in Somerset on their social media and in their match day programmes, as well as organising generous bucket collections for the mental health charity.

The Swags have kindly offered to make Mind in Somerset their matchday sponsor and are fully behind promoting the Western League’s campaign to promote the importance of positive wellbeing.

Nockolds will be joined by Victoria Poole, a fundraising manager at Mind in Somerset.

Poole said: “Mind in Somerset is delighted to be working with the Western League. The partnership not only helps us raise vital funds but also promote of awareness of mental health. Mental health affects everyone and we are here to help.”

Nockolds added: “I am very grateful for how Nailsea & Tickenham have embraced this important initiative.

“I’m finding at every club I visit that there are stories of how mental health issues have touched so many lives.

“Many people go to football for a release from our day to day responsibilities and I’m hoping that through football we can help people who are struggling to come to terms with the challenges they face in their everyday lives.”

A spokesperson for Nailsea & Tickenham continued: "We are very pleased and proud to be supporting Mind in Somerset. As we approach the Christmas festivities we are aware that a lot of people find this a difficult time of year.

"Remember, there is always someone who will listen and as Mind in Somerset promotes ‘It’s OK to ask for help.'
