Clevedon Town manager Alex White hailed Harlee Vozza’s match-winning goal as a “great moment” for everyone after his late winner helped the Seasiders return to winning ways at Brixham last Saturday.

Vozza, who only joined up with the squad on the morning of the match after signing on loan from Chippenham Town, popped up to score from a narrow angle despite despite the best attempt of Danny Gaze on the line in the 87th minute.

“It was a great moment, not just for him but for all of us really,” White said.

“His first real experience of men’s football couldn’t have gone much better and I think he enjoyed the day too. If Carlsberg did debuts and all that!”

White hailed his side’s character to claim the win at Wall Park.

It was Clevedon’s first win in three games after defeats against Hartbury University (2-1 in the FA Vase) and Shepton Mallet (1-0 in the Toolstation Western League Premier.)

“I’m delighted with the character, I really am,” White added.

“I challenged them in the week, and their response was brilliant. I love this group to bits they keep constantly exceeding expectations and every time we’ve had a setback the reaction has been strong.”
