Nailsea & Tickenham’s FA Vase second round match with Hartpury University FC has changed venues to Hartpury College.
The tie, which was postponed last week, was due to be played at Fryth Way but due to the excessive weather the tie has been switched to ensure the game goes ahead.
Co-manager Nic Steadman Steadman said the reason for the move was mainly down to their pitch not being ready for the tie.
“It wasn’t ready with the weather we’ve had, we just haven’t managed to get on and prep what we needed to do so we spoke to our opponents and decided to reverse the fixture,” he said.
“We’ll it probably benefits them as they are now playing on home turf plus earn some money from the bar etc but we think it’s best for us after last weeks game being off.”
Despite the change, Steadman said his side will head into the match full of confidence.
“They are obviously going to be a talented fit side but we don’t know too much about them,” he added.
“It will be a tough test like every game at this level but we will be confident going into the game.”
And with Clevedon Town awaiting the winner in the third round, Steadman says the prospect of playing their North Somerset rivals is “really exciting.”
“Clevedon are a great side and have really clicked this year,” he said.
“Alex (White) is doing a fantastic job so it will be extremely tough if we get there but let’s focus on Hartpury first.”
