Uhlsport Somerset Premier: Clevedon United 2-5 Chilcompton Sports

Clevedon United lost at home at the weekend against a strong Chilcompton Sports side who are pushing for promotion this season.

The match in the Uhlsport Somerset County Premier Division ended 2-5 in favour of the visitors but there were positives for Clevedon.

After going two games in a row without scoring before this, it was promising to see United get on the scoresheet twice.

The defeat leaves them in fifth place in the league table, and with the majority of the campaign still to play, things aren't looking too bad for Clevedon.

In the match, Chilcompton Sports broke out to a two goal lead before Clevedon pulled a goal back from the penalty spot.

From there, the visitors scored twice more before against the run of play Clevedon doubled their tally.

The away side had the last say with a final goal to seal the win and return home with three points.
