North Somerset Athletic Club commenced their winter cross-country campaign with a long drive to Pembrey Park, Llanelli, for the first Gwent Cross-Country League event last week.
The individual performance of the day came from Lucy B in the u11 race, winning impressively.
While the team performance came from the under-13 boys, winning their event.
The next event in the series is in Cardiff in November, followed by Bristol in December.
In the Under 11 girls category, the team came fifth out of 32 total teams with Lucy B finishing first, Abigail H in 10th and Annie H in 16th.
For the Under-13 boys, the A team finished first out of 33 teams while the B team came 6th, and the C team finished 21st.
The full results for the U13s were as follows: Ollie F 4th out of 77, Olly S 8th, Ed S 14th, Sam B 16th, Killy F 18th, Henry H 37th, James H 49th, George H 52nd, Thomas S 54th, Arthur S 56th.
