There has been plenty of racing for Clevedon AC members over the last few weeks.

Three members took part in the Black Nore 10k, a multi terrain event starting and finishing at the Portishead Lido and taking in the coast path.

Congratulations to Matthew Evans for finishing 3rd overall and 1st Male. Next home in 5th and the 3rd Male was Matt Crocker with Richard Grant coming home in 29th position.

Seven members travelled to Burnham-on-Sea to race the Burnham Half Marathon. The unusually warm October weather made conditions a little tough but it was a great day for the club.

Jack Last came in third overall, closely followed by Steve Wood in fourth, who also finished First MV50 category.

Tim Nabosi finished in fourth overall and first in the MV40 category while Jemma Lewis finished 49th and first in the FV35 category.

Finally, Theresa Goldstone finished in 120th overall and first in the FV55 group.

Well done also to Mark Williams and Ben Burns who used the race as a training tempo run and helped team mates to achieve PB’s on the day.

On the same day, Tania Baker-Gill headed down to Somerset for the Quantock Trails Half. The route takes runners through the stunning Quantock Hills, covering 2736ft of elevation and crossing forests, country lanes and open moorland. A great result for Tania on a challenging course!

Most recently, 6 members took part in the popular Bath Half Marathon, a flat 2-lap race through the heart of the city. Well done to Joanne Gallagher who was first home for the club, followed by James Foster, Dan Kimberley, Ben Sharp, Georgia Barrett and Steve Lambert.
